Why This Car Is Special

Crosley was a small, independent American manufacturer of subcompact cars, bordering on microcars. At first called the Crosley Corporation and later Crosley Motors Incorporated, the Cincinnati, Ohio, firm was active from 1939 to 1952, interrupted by World War II production.

We have a great modified and restored 1952 Crosley Super Station Wagon custom here at Skyway Classics that was manufactured by Crosley Motors in Richmond, Indiana and is the last year in which Crosley automobiles were manufactured.

When it was new, our Crosley had an engine that produced just under 30 horsepower with the 724cc CIBA (Crosley Cast Iron Block Assembly) inline-four breathing through a 1-barrel carburetor and a 3-speed manual transmission.

Open the hood and you will see that our Crosley has been warmed over and now is powered by a GM Performance 3.4L 60 degree V6 engine that easily produces 240 horsepower, quite an improvement!

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a 700 R automatic transmission that feeds into a narrowed nine-inch Ford, 38 inch wide Detroit Locker differential.

The front wheel spindles are from a Mustang II and have been dropped two inches. Rear suspension is a four-bar arrangement and the front is tubular A arms with a rack and pinion steering system that was narrowed by 9 inches.

Coil over shocks, four wheel disc brakes, stainless steel exhaust system, Be Cool radiator, 15 inch Billet Specialties wheels, and Vintage Air conditioning round out the changes.

It has a complete custom interior with twin front bucket seats upholstered in a two-tone light and dark tan with matching door panels, brown carpet, brown three-spoke billet steering wheel on the adjustable column, floor shifter, orange body painted dash with aftermarket performance gauges, air conditioning, and more.

The rear cargo area is well equipped in the same carpet and trimming that is on the door panels and really looks amazing.

The body on this vehicle received a number of exterior modifications during the rebuilding process and was finished off in a quite noticeable orange paint which looks amazing.

All the trim and glass is great looking too.

The frame was constructed using two by three inch rectangular tubing for strength and durability.

We have a one-of-a-kind modified and restored 1952 Crosley Super Station Wagon custom here at Skyway Classics that you must see and hear, let alone drive.
