1966 Blue Ford Mustang

Why This Vehicle is Special

The introduction of the Mustang in 1964 created a new class of automobile known as the pony car. The Mustang's styling, with its long hood and short deck, proved wildly popular and inspired a host of competition including Camaro, Firebird, Cougar and others.

The 1966 Blue Mustang we have here at Skyway Classics is a C Code Engine car but now has a 302 cubic inch Ford crate engine with a whole lot more horsepower than what came with it stock and is one sporty Mustang for you to buy and own.

Mechanical

The 289 cubic inch V8 engine put out 200 horsepower from the factory and the engine in our Mustang is modified to make a whole lot more. It has a serious build on the small block Ford 302 cubic inch Ford crate engine that has Aluminum Heads, a Performance cam & kit, an aluminum intake with a performance electric choke Holley carb, aluminum racing logo finned valve covers, tube exhaust headers, a lot of MSD electronics, power brakes, and a black Shelby Cobra styled finned open element air cleaner assembly.

It has a custom aftermarket chrome radiator, performance spark plug wires, and it sits in the clean and detailed engine compartment looking just as it did when it was brand new but improved.

You will love the automatic transmission and peak underneath you will see the H.D. rear end and the clean, painted, and detailed chassis too.

Interior

The restored interior is all as it was when it was factory original with the black vinyl buckets up front and the matching rear seat, dash, and door panels, chrome shifted floor shifter in the black floor console, black carpet and floor mats.

You will like the black and chrome Mustang sport steering wheel, instrument panel that has all the correct factory gauges, and features a 140 mph speedometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge and ammeter in five round dials, but also accessory gauges, and aftermarket stereo system.

Exterior

On the outside, our Mustang wears the great blue paint job flowing over all the iconic body lines and accented by the blacked-out grille with the Mustang emblem prancing on the front end and out back the unique fuel filler cap on the panel between the tail lamps, with dual exhaust exiting underneath.

It rides on Mustang five-spoke styled wheels and performance BF Goodrich raised white letter performance tires and has that just right stance.

Conclusion

The 1966 blue Mustang with the modified small block engine we have here at Skyway Classics has great looks, outstanding performance, and these Mustangs have become as collectable as any other car, and probably more so in the future.
