Amazing 1967 Dodge Dart
The Dodge Dart is an automobile originally built by Dodge from 1960 to 1976. The Dart was substantially redesigned for the 1967 model year. In addition to new styling, the cars received revised steering systems, wider front track and frame rail spacing, and redesigned K-members capable of accepting larger engines.
Why This Car Is Special
This very clean Blue Dodge Dart GT we have at Skyway Classics is one of only 1,626 produced in 1967 with a the V8 engine option. It has had a full restoration top to bottom including a new Power Cloth Convertible Top, Factory Air Conditioning, and a Bucket Seats Center Console interior.
This small-block 360 Rebuilt Mopar V8 engine replaced the stock tired 273 and is mated to an automatic transmission and the engine compartment is very cleaned and detailed. It incorporates a cast iron intake, factory valve covers and air cleaner, all correct factory hoses and clamps, air conditioning and Power Steering and Power Disc Brakes.
Features also include air conditioning and power front disc brakes.
The 1967 Dart, along with all other 1967 Chrysler products, got a new dual-circuit brake hydraulic system to ensure loss of pressure in the front brakes would not prevent the rear brakes from working, and vice versa. The system also incorporated a brake system fault telltale on the dashboard.
The 1967 Dart had changes to comply with new federal safety laws included collapsible steering columns, additional padding on the dashboard and sunvisors. Shoulder belt anchors were also provided for front outboard occupants.
Ours has a very clean interior with blue bucket seats, chrome shifter and factory console, matching blue seatbelts, carpet, and floor mats.
Our restyled Dart for 1967 features a rear window with compound inverse curves. Curved side glass was used for the first time on a Chrysler compact. Up front, there was a new dual-plane front end contour: the center section of the grille, bumper and leading edge of the hood were recessed from the front plane of the car. The single headlamps were placed forward of the recessed center section, defining the front plane. Park/turn lamps were set into the grille in the corners formed by the transition area between the recessed and forward sections.
The great blue paint has a rear red racing stripe and GT emblems to let people know this is no stock Dart. The power convertible top is in good condition and has a parade boot. This Dart even rides on correct factory Rally wheels and BF Goodrich tires and has a great sound coming out the rear dual exhaust.
This 1967 Dodge Dart GT Convertible we have at Skyway Classics is pretty in blue and having a convertible to boot is a plus too. It is a great example of a restored muscle car from the 60s and will be a very nice addition to your collection or your ride to the beach or car shows.
