Beautifully Cared For 1966 Ford Mustang
History
The introduction of the Mustang in 1964 created a new class of automobile known as the pony car. The Mustang's styling, with its long hood and short deck, proved wildly popular and inspired a host of competition including Camaro, Firebird, Cougar and others.
The 1966 Ford Mustang was the highest production Mustang in all fifty three years it has been in production. The world had caught Mustang fever after the introduction of the 1964 1/2 model, and Ford was working double time to try and keep up with demand. The factory in Dearborn, Michigan pumped out a whopping 607,568 Mustangs between August of 1965 and July of 1966.

The one we have here at Skyway Classics is a rare 1st generation 1965 yellow Mustang convertible, Only 1,700 miles since a meticulous restoration was completed.
The restored 1965 correct Springtime Yellow Mustang is painted a beautiful yellow 2-stage paint with black racing stripes, has a Shelby hood scoop & Shelby side panel stripe package, and Mustang convertible power top.
The Mustang's engine is a 289 cu in. that was rebuilt, 4 bbl carb w/headers, new exhaust with trumpet mufflers and tips, and automatic transmission w/shift kit.
The restoration on this Mustang was extensive. It has a refreshed interior w/ new carpet, new door panels, new dash cover and period correct black bucket seats w/center console, radio w/cassette player, and wood steering wheel. It has pristine chrome and stainless trim also.
This is a rust free car with a super clean under carriage. Drop the top, turn up the tunes & cruise down the road with your honey.
