1969 Chevrolet Chevelle – Big Block

History
The Chevrolet Malibu and Chevelle are staples of the Chevy muscle car stable. These big bodied beauties are highly desirable and pack a mean punch when equipped like this particular example.

Why This Car Is Special
To start, the color really sets this Chevelle apart and gives it major visual appeal. When you hear the roar of the exhaust that appeal spreads to your ears. Pop the hood and be wowed by the cleanliness of the engine compartment and the engine adorned in chrome so it shines like a jewel in the middle. A Painless wiring system has been installed to make the car like new on the electrical side.

Mechanical
This Chevelle has a professionally rebuilt 454 engine that has been bored .060 over to displace 468 cubic inches! The fun doesn't stop there because this Chevy has a Powermax Crane Cam with .278 / .290 duration and .529 / .525 lift. Reconditioned factory connecting rods, Speepro hypereutectic flat top pistons and stainless steel one piece valves matched with Crane Cams valve springs. The rockers are Comp Cams roller rockers to cut down on friction and the crank has been turned .030 during the rebuild. All of those new valvetrain parts are in stock oval port Hi-Po heads. The intake is an Edelbrock Endurashine Performer Air-Gap for great looks and performance. A Demon 750 CFM 4-barrel carburetor rests atop that and provides just the right amount of fuel for this built big block. Cooling is provided by an aluminum radiator with dual electric puller fans. This powerhouse is backed by a Turbo 400 automatic transmission that has also been professionally rebuilt. During the transmission rebuild it received a modified torque converter, racing clutches, Kevlar bands, and a Street/Go reprogramming kit. Chrome air cleaner, -454- valve covers, thermostat housing, alternator bracket and radiator cover really dress up the engine nicely.

Interior
The interior is mostly stock with the exception of some aftermarket gauges to keep on eye on the engine. An Auto Meter tachometer has been mounted to the steering column and a cluster of Oil Pressure, Water Temperature and Volt gauges have been mounted under the cowl hood for a cool custom look. The black bucket seats welcome you into the very clean interior with a center console with horseshoe shifter and a new AM/FM/CD/AUX/USB radio in the dash to crank your favorite tunes.

Exterior
If the Sapphire Blue Metallic paint doesn't catch your eye you need to check your pulse! This car looks fantastic with Silver spears down the sides and riding on the factory 15” rally wheels wrapped in Goodyear Eagle radial tires. The chrome is in excellent condition and the stance is just right. You are sure to stand out from the rows of Red cars at the show in this beauty.

Conclusion
If you are looking for a stunningly beautiful muscle car with a lot of power and a reasonable price, look no further. This car needs nothing but a new driver and comes with receipts for the parts and build of the engine and transmission. She is clean and solid and a great investment as these continue to climb in value. Drive and enjoy it as it sits or make it into a tribute of your favorite Chevelle of all time. Perhaps a Yenko, COPO or SS makeover is in the cards for this 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle 2 door hardtop.
