1950 Crosley Sedan Delivery
1950 Crosley Sedan Delivery
Why This Car Is Special
First of all, you never see a 1950 Crosley Sedan Delivery. If that isn't enough, this car has a more modern Toyota drivetrain.
Mechanical
The original 4-cylinder engine has been built from 26 to now 60 horsepower by Bary Seal. It is mated to a Toyota 4-speed manual transmission with a new clutch. The rear end is also Toyota and has new shocks and springs. The fuel tank is new, along with the driveshaft and U-joints. The engine alone was over $5,000 to rebuild and bump up the output.
Interior
Crosley automobiles are pretty Spartan inside, and this car is stock. Vinyl wrapped seats fold forward to access the rear seat. There is ample storage behind the rear seat, which also folds down to provide even more space if needed. The stock Crosley gauge cluster is still in place and is very cool. With a red speedometer with bubble lettering and temperature, oil pressure, amperage and fuel to keep an eye on the engine. The Crosley radio is still in place and matches great with a red faceplate. The original heater box is under the dash and is also adorned with the Crosley name. The interior is clean and simple, but a skull shifter handle has been added to let you know this car isn't all stock.
Exterior
Beautiful red paint is broken up with faux wood paneling on the rear, giving this car a Crosley woody look. Red steel wheels with chrome beauty rings and center caps look great on anything, and this car is no exception to that rule. The rear is accessed by lifting the glass rear window. If that isn't enough access the tailgate can be dropped as well. These Crosleys have a ton of character in a small package and are unlike anything else on the road. You are sure to get attention at car shows in this red sedan delivery.
Conclusion
Crosleys don't come up for sale every day, especially not in this condition and configuration. If you're in the market for a Crosley, or any fun smaller classic car, call now.
