1941 Chevrolet Business Coupe.
This is an all-steel 1941 Chevrolet Business Coupe. It has been streetrodded and is much more fun and capable than it would have been when new.
Why This Car Is Special
The build quality of this car is great and it has had a no expense spared restoration.
Mechanical
A well built 350 CID V8 sits under the hood with an Edelbrock intake, MSD carburetor, HEI ignition, ceramic coated shorty headers, billet pullies and brackets. The engine is nicely dressed with aluminum valve covers, a chrome air cleaner, chrome alternator, chrome hood hinges and latch. Billet spark plug looms hide the wires nicely and really finish off the engine. The aluminum radiator is cooled by an electric fan and has a nice billet overflow. A Turbo 350 automatic backs the 350 engine and runs out to a 10-bolt rear end with adjustable coil over shocks. The front end is all modern with tubular control arms, adjustable coil over shocks, power rack and pinion steering and power disc brakes. This beauty drives as nice as it looks. Vintage Air has been added to the car with a very clean looking control panel in the dash.
Interior
The interior is custom and comfortable. Leather and tweed bucket seats are split by a custom center console that runs through the whole interior, even splitting the back seat. It has a hidden compartment for all the switches and the ignition. A chrome tilt steering column is finished off with a Lecarra steering wheel. The door panels and headliner are one of a kind and house a custom overhead console with the AM/FM/CD player. The billet dash surround holds digital gauges that are not only accurate but look great. The trunk is finished off to match in tweed with custom panels and red writing that states “One Very Red Forty One.”
Exterior
This is one slick 1941 Business Coupe. The lights are frenched in or flush mounted, and the blue dot taillights really take you back. Greed wheels bring this car to modern times and the trim, door handles and badging have all been shaved to give this 41 a great smooth and clean look. A license plate mounting spot has been recessed into the trunk lid, to continue that smoothed look.
Conclusion
This is a unique and well built streetrod. It is beautiful to look at and maybe even better to drive. If you're looking for a streetrod with a modern suspension and great options, this is the car for you.
