1954 Chevrolet 5100 Series COE Hot Rod Pickup
Why This Vehicle is Special
Skyway Classics has a unique 1954 Chevy COE Cabover Hot Rod pickup project with a brand new 427 V8 engine and an Turbo 400 automatic transmission.
Mechanical
Our COE has brand new 427 Chevrolet crate motor mounted in the frame behind the cab that has a lot of power and torque with the addition of headers, aluminum intake, performance Holley carb, modified ignition and distributor, B&M open air cleaner, and is mated to a 3-speed Turbo 400 automatic transmission.
It also has power steering, power brakes with front disc brakes, new starter, alternator, fuel pump, water pump, steering pump, aluminum radiator, wiring harness, electric wipers and air conditioning.
Our 5100 has been built on the original frame but a 2500 Series Suburban front suspension with drop spindles has been added and power goes back to a GM 14-bolt GM Corporate Rear end. It rides on factory wheels and huge black wall tires, and has a unique sound with the headers emptying into the high twin chrome side exhaust stacks.
Interior
The interior consists of a new black vinyl front seat with stock dash and door panels. Performance gauges are installed in the dash with a three spoke steering wheel to hold onto.
Everything works as it should and the air conditioning keeps the 5100 cool while you are cruising.
Exterior
The truck has a lot of patina in the green paint but it is a super cool truck that draws attention everywhere it is driven. The bed has real wood planks in it and looks nice. It runs and drives great.
Conclusion
Please come see this 1954 Chevy COE Cabover, Hot Rod pickup project we have here at Skyway Classics. If you see it, you will want to buy it.
