1964 White Ford Thunderbird

Why This Car Is Special

We have a like new luxurious white 1964 Thunderbird here at Skyway Classics that has an offsetting gorgeous red bucket seat interior as well as a 300 horsepower 390 cu in FE V8 engine paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission.

The Ford Thunderbird is a rear wheel drive automobile which was manufactured by Ford in the United States over eleven model generations from 1955 through 2005. The Thunderbird created a market niche that eventually became known as the personal luxury car.

Mechanical

Out Tbird came with the powerful 390 cubic-inch V8 is with the four-barrel carburetor, correct gold painted Thunderbird embossed valve covers and air cleaner assembly, windshield washer bag, and all other factory correct parts on the engine. They sit in a clean, painted, and detailed engine compartment that looks like it was back in 1964. Everything looks factory correct.

The V8 fires up easily and has a great exhaust note out the rear dual exhaust system. It rides on chrome big spoke wire wheels with spinner caps and wide white sidewall tires, big brakes and more.

Interior

The correct bright red interior really completes the white on red theme with power bucket seats, power windows with controls in the center console, a complete set of factory gauges including a speedometer and other gauges, AM/FM radio also rest in the chrome center console.

Everything looks new including the bright red carpeting, rear seats, door panels, rear center console, and headliner.

Exterior

For 1964 the Thunderbird was restyled in favor of a more squared-off appearance, which was mostly evident when viewing the car from the side or rear. Hinting at its roots in the previous generation Thunderbird that it evolved from, the new model retained a similar grille design with quad headlights.

The white paint and trim on the Bird is great as is all the fitment on the body panels, chrome is nice, and it even still has the rear fender skirts which combine with its classic lines that still look sleek today.

Conclusion

This 1964 Ford Thunderbird we have here at Skyway Classics has not only a gorgeous red bucket seat interior, it has the much sought after 390 Thunderbird Special engine and it is a true iconic survivor type classic.

Heck, we even found gas receipts in the glove box from the 60's! This was, and still is, the car you want to be seen cruising to the beach with Beach Boys music playing on the radio.
