1966 Ford Thunderbird

Why This Car Is Special

We have what we believe is a one owner vehicle with only 25,400 Miles here at Skyway Classics. It is a 1966 Ford Thunderbird 2-Door Hardtop, that was purchased by Orval Bud Roof from English Motor Company in July 7, of 1966.

Mechanical

Our Thunderbird was purchased for his wife who only drove it on special occasions and never driven in the rain or bad weather, and it shoes it too. It was sold at Tri-County Ford in Kentucky in 2000 when the owner retired.

It is Non-Restored and in great condition with the interior and exterior original as well as the original born with factory 390 cubic inch engine with 315 horsepower, automatic transmission, Power Front Disc Brakes and Rear Drum Brakes, Power Steering, Dual Exhaust and more.

The engine sits in a like new, clean and detailed, engine compartment with all the stock parts like the factory Ford Racing Blue air cleaner, engine block, intake, and overflow radiator rank, the correct decals, fan shroud, and most everything else is just like it left the assembly line.

Interior

The fabulous interior has bright red vinyl twin bucket seats up front with matching rear wrap-around bright red seat, all with shiny chrome and matching red Fold Away steering wheel, door panels and headliner.

The dash, with the wood grain insert, is immaculate with all the as new gauges, trim, controls, factory AM Push Button Radio. The carpet is red also and in good condition as well as this car having all supporting documentation plus title ownership from the original owner, original sales order, Build Sheets and title ownership.

Exterior

The exterior of our 1966 is painted in the original Wimbleton White paint job it came with that looks great and is set off by that red bucket seat interior, tinted glass, factory chrome hubcaps on steel wheels, thin white wall tires, fender covers, great chrome bumpers, and chrome exhaust tips sticking out the rear.

It has the iconic white hardtop look as well as the simulated hood scoop from the factory, and those great Thunderbird emblems.

The trunk even looks to have the original trunk mat, spare tire and wheel, and spare tire jack base and spinner to hold it down.
