2003 Harley-Davidson V-Rod VRSC
Why This Bike Is Special
We have a 2003 Harley Davidson V-Rod VRSC for sale here at Skyway Classics that is so fast with great handling that you will wonder if this is really a Harley?
When Harley started building these V-Rods they wanted the biggest, baddest power cruiser on the market. And it got it. If you remember the impact of Yamaha's V-Max, itself a sport-bike killer amongst cruisers, they you will know that the V-Rod is similar.
The V-Rod's exclusivity commands a premium, even at already hefty Harley prices. The 2003 version retailed for $17,995 and Harley-Davidson once again had the fastest custom on the market.
Mechanical
It features a 60-degree V-twin engine that was designed with input from sports car legend Porsche, and it put out a reported 110 horsepower at the rear wheel with more than sufficient low-end torque.
The four-valve-per-cylinder V-twin is fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, and puts the power to the road with its big meaty 180/55ZR18 rear radial tires, that handles well too.
Exterior
The styling is radically different for a Harley and the V-Rod's chassis is typical Harley, long, low and stable. The steering head angle is 38 degrees with trick triple clamps that bring the fork tubes back in four degrees for an effective rake of 34 degrees.
The V-Rod has a massive 67.5-inch wheelbase that Harley has managed to make adept in the corners. Even the seating position is quite comfortable and the layout places the rider's footpegs far forward.
Conclusion
If you want a very fast cruiser for city and backroad riding, this a 2003 Harley Davidson V-Rod VRSC we have for sale here at Skyway Classics is like no other cruisers, and it is a Harley Davidson tourer too.
