1955 Chevrolet 3100
1955 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup
Why This Car Is Special
Make sure you view the photos of underneath the truck to see the build quality and cleanliness. This is a great build that is a turn key show winner.
Mechanical
What better to power a Chevrolet pickup than the iconic 350 CID V8? This one is built and dressed to impress. The block is painted black for a clean look that really sets off the chrome and billet pieces. Edelbrock Performer EPS intake is topped off with an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor. The exhaust duties are handled by ceramic coated shorty headers running to dual exhaust with a great note. Billet valve covers, air cleaner, radiator overflow and pullies dress up the engine compartment nicely. A Champion aluminum radiator is responsible for cooling the V8 and an HEI distributor handles the ignition. The front end is modern with tubular upper and lower control arms, power rack and pinion steering and disc brakes make this truck drive like a dream. A ford 9” rear end is accented with chrome shocks and red drum brakes.
Interior
What an interior this truck has. Two tone leather with a woven look really sets this truck apart. The split bench feels more like buckets but gives you the armrest and storage of a fold down center console. The door panels are done custom to match the seats and everything is spotless. AutoMeter gauges fill the chrome bezel and pop against the bright red painted dash. A billet tilt column and modern AM/FM radio provide an updated feel to the interior.
Exterior
Vision Legend Series chrome wheels really pop against the bright red paint. The bed is finished nicely with beautiful dark with painted strips and a billet fuel door. A smooth tailgate and rear roll pan make the rear end pure eye candy while the stock chrome grill and chrome bumper up front are too cool to change. The grill is accompanied by tri-bar halogen headlights for a modern look and better vision on dark drives. The red brake calipers and drums peeking through the wheels match the rest of the truck and are nicely done. These tri-five pickups are becoming very popular and examples like this make it easy to see why.
Conclusion
