Why This Car Is Special The real (not a kit car replica) MG Roadster like the one we have at Skyway Classics was said to have been designed with the American sports car buyer in mind. The 1952 MG was also considered state of the art for its time period even though the engine wasn't a high horsepower one like some of the bigger US cars.
Mechanical The MG was built with a 1.25 L inline 4-cylinder engine delivering 54 horsepower. But with the car's light weight, that was considered enough that it truly offers a lot of sporty handling and performance. The engine in ours is peppy, is mated to a 4-speed manual, and sits in a very clean original, and painted engine compartment. We believe this to be the original engine and transmission.
Interior The factory correct and detailed interior consist of a very nice tan vinyl interior with split bench seat, tan side door panels, wrapped factory steering wheel, wood dash, factory gauges, and a black convertible top with matching cover.
Exterior The exterior om our MG finished in a beautiful shade of yellow with a matching grille, accented by body colored steel wheels with chrome hubcaps and a rear mounted spare, chrome front Badge bar, Rear Luggage Rack, great chrome all around on the bumpers and windshield, and Tripod Headlights With Clear Lens om its chrome radiator shroud.
